Attractive strong purple colour and tender flesh. Ideal for early sowings under cover and main crop production outside. Good bolt resistance and very attractive colour. Succession sow from April to July.
SOW: succession sow from mid spring to mid summer.
HARVEST: pull in summer and autumn when roots are about 5cm across.
Tip: Don't leave these get big they get woody & unpalatable. We also find them fiddly to be peeling when bigger so try picking them small, scrub & add to a baby root stew - very tasty.
