High yielding and long podded variety with succulent, spineless fruits. Best grown undercover but can be grown outside in a sun trap. Sow from January to March.
SITE & SOIL: best grown under cover but can be grown outside in a sun trap. A well draining soil with lots of organic matter dug in.
SOW: late winter to early spring at 18-21°C.
PLANTING: transplant to larger pots and grow on at 10°C then plant out in a grow bag or the greenhouse border, allowing 40cm between plants. May need support. Feed as tomatoes.
HARVEST: from late summer.
Tip: they will harvest right up until the first frost so keep picking to keep a steady supply.
Tip: Okra dosen't like being transplanted so if your going to start off indoors try a paper or peat pot.
