Late maturing onion with large globe-shaped, straw-coloured bulbs. Successful variety from sets but also very good from seed. Excellent for storage. Sow from January to March.


SITE & SOIL: a sunny position with a soil that has plenty of organic matter and a pH above 6.5.
SOW: early spring under glass at 14°C, pricking out into trays when 5cm heigh.
PLANTING: transplant from mid spring to 15cm apart. For sowings directly into the ground sow mid spring in drills 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart, thinning to 10-15cm apart.
HARVEST: from late summer to early autumn.
